Entrusted - a Short Film for Parents

text size A A A

Entrusted is a new short film about a father that doesn't want to watch his daughter ... and I really like it. But I always enjoy watching movies, TV shows and short films that feature my friends as actors.

The film has been entered in the San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival and the filmmakers are waiting to learn if the film will be a finalist in the short films category.

Entrusted - a short film by Ninth Hour Productions

This film features three former cast members of the TV series 7th Street Theater. Johanna Jowett, Hugh McLean and Shane Willimon appear in Entrusted. (Disclosure: I worked on this series as a production assistant and dolly grip.)

Johanna Jowett also acted in the TV series One Tree Hill and the movie Life as We Know It. Hugh Mclean played the role of Evangelist in Pilgrims Progress. He also was cast in the Christian films Late One Night, Me & You, Us, Forever and C Me Dance. Shane Willimon also acted in the movie Seven Deadly Words to be released next year.

Shane McMullin, director of the film, has worked on the movies Courageous, Fire Proof, and The Secrets of Jonathan Sperry. Ryan Cumbo, camera operator, also worked on the documentary Set Free.

The film was made by the production company Ninth Hour Productions. That name might sound familiar because it comes from a Bible verse:

And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” that is, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” - Matthew 27:46

I hope you enjoyed the film.
