Modern day parable. Can you figure out what this means?
At least two possible interpretations will arise from this photo: one spiritual and the other political.
Perhaps this photo reminded you of the costs of yielding to temptation. On the night Jesus Christ was arrested, He told his disciples, "Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak." - Matthew 26:41
And then there's the political viewpoint.
P. J. O'Rourke the libertarian political satirist once wrote, "If you think health care is expensive now, wait until you see what it costs when it’s free."
When the government offers a service for free, it must still be paid for by someone else.
P.S. This quote ("There's always free cheese in the mousetrap") appears in a video on Youtube in which a former Marine describes how the American government fears its citizens and he says this proverb at the end of the video.
