Harbinger Of The Things To Come

The Holy Bible, a TRUE Harbinger of The Things to Come
The Books of Daniel and Revelation, Reveal what’s to come
The Four Gospels Reveal, that Jesus Christ gave His Life, for YOU
The question is with this knowledge, what are YOU going to do

Do YOU Believe, have YOU put Your Faith in Our Lord Jesus Christ
Do YOU KNOW in Your Heart, His Life He Willingly Sacrificed
His Crucifixion, His Resurrection, and His Ascension
Jesus Christ IS Alive, and He Truly IS God’s ONLY Son

If YOU have put Your Faith in Jesus, Your Future looks awesome
‘Cause YOU will spend Eternity, in God Almighty’s Kingdom
If YOU have REFUSED God’s Offer, YOU might want to turn away
Because YOU will definitely NOT want to hear what I say

One Day soon, Believers will VANISH from this World, We’ll be gone
Unbelievers will be left to ponder This Phenomenon
But they will have more dire things to worry about, it’s True
YOU know what Unbelievers, I’m Blessed to NOT be one of YOU

The World in turmoil, Wars EVERYWHERE, there’s no place to hide
Are YOU wondering yet, why YOU weren’t told, hey, We truly tried
Millions dying from Wars, Pestilence, Famine, Earthquakes, and more
What The Holy Bible Foretold, it’s what YOU chose to IGNORE FULL POST

Daniel’s Seventieth Week Prophecy Begins

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

But I (Paul) do NOT want YOU (Believers) to be ignorant, Brethren (Believers), concerning those (Believers) who have Fallen Asleep (The Dead in Christ), lest YOU (Believers) sorrow, as others who have NO Hope. For if We (Believers) Believe that Jesus (Jesus Christ) died and Rose Again, even so God (God Almighty) will bring with Him (Jesus Christ) those who Sleep in Jesus (The Dead in Christ). For this We (Believers) say to YOU (Believers) by The Word of The Lord (Jesus Christ), that We (Believers) who are Alive and Remain until The Coming of The Lord (Jesus Christ) will by no means precede those who are Asleep (The Dead in Christ). For The Lord (Jesus Christ) Himself will Descend from Heaven with a Shout, with The Voice of an Archangel, and with The Trumpet of God (God Almighty). And The Dead in Christ, will Rise first. Then We (Believers) who are Alive and Remain, shall be Caught Up Together with Them (The Dead in Christ) in The Clouds, to MEET The Lord (Jesus Christ) in the Air. And thus We (Believers) shall ALWAYS be with The Lord (Jesus Christ). Therefore comfort one another with these words.

Sherri Burgess Finds Purpose in Pain

Part 2 of an interview with Sherri Burgess,

Author of Bronner: A Journey to Understand

Sherri Burgess, author of Bronner: A Journey to Understand
Heather Durham
Sherri Burgess

If God is good, then why does He allow terrible things to happen? It’s a universal question asked by believers and skeptics alike. Some decide no answer exists, but not Sherri Burgess, the author of Bronner: A Journey to Understand (New Hope Publishers/January 19, 2016/ISBN: 978-1-62591-500-9/$16.99). When Burgess and her husband, Rick (host of the nationally syndicated “The Rick and Bubba Show”), lost their two-year-old son in a tragic drowning at home, she turned to God with the same question and in her grief learned there are answers. What she discovered about the Lord and herself she now brings to the world in this special book.

Q: Why did you decide to write this book and share your journey?

It wasn’t really a decision at all. It was a calling. I felt strongly compelled by God to write this book. God answered me, but He didn’t answer me so I would keep those answers to myself. God has message for all of us in this.

Q: The writing process took five years. What challenges did you face in trying to put your story into words?

I wanted to write the answers I was hearing from God: what I found about pain and suffering in the Bible and all the lessons learned along the way. The writing process took a long time because grief is a long business, and it takes time to sort these things out. But this isn’t a book about grief or the grieving process. In truth, it’s really not even about Bronner. It’s about God. God doesn’t do these things to hurt us. Scripture tells us we are refined in the furnace of affliction and that sorrow is better than laughter because it scours the heart. It specifically tells us it’s better to go to a funeral than to a party because you might learn something at a funeral. You’re not likely to at a party. Suffering melts away the dross of worldliness, pride and self-reliance and makes us reach for something greater than ourselves. It teaches us the only hope any of us really has is God. There is so much more I could tell you about the why behind pain and suffering. It would literally take an entire book to tell the tale. But I can say this: God is good, He loves us, and the pain we have to endure in this life is nothing He wasn’t willing to endure Himself. Jesus suffered in this life, and if we want to belong to Him, we’ll suffer too.

Q: What was the most unexpected thing to you about the grieving process?

Love. The love of many people wrapped around me like never before. People are amazing, how they rush to the side of the hurting, how much love and care we all have for one another in times of trial. We’re always so busy running to and fro, but when things like the death of a child happen, time stops, people stop, the earth seems to stop turning, and life slows down to a snail’s pace. That’s when we find we actually do have time for one another, and when we spend time together we find a deep and immense love one for one another.

Q: What has this experience taught you about the difference between your plans for your children versus what God has planned for them?

Bronner: A Journey to Understand by Sherri Burgess
New Growth Publishers

I’ve learned God has created each person uniquely and perfectly according to His will; each of us has something of God’s character, beauty and perfection implanted in us. I have learned to treasure the unique qualities not only in each of my children, but in everyone. God has a plan and purpose for us all, and His plans are good. Even the painful ones are good because they grow us, teach us and mold us into the good character of God we were created for all along. It’s the sin in us that corrupts our character. God wants to root out the sin in our lives. Much of what I had planned for my kids was worldly, but now I desire nothing more than the Spirit of God, to reign and rule in my children’s hearts because God is good and His glory everlasting. God is creating in us a desire for a new world where sin, death, disease, poverty and war don’t exist. I want that for my kids, and that is all that matters to me: that they will all be with me in eternity.

Q: Do you find your thoughts about Heaven have changed since Bronner went there?

What has changed is that I think about it at all. We don’t think much about Heaven until we have someone there we love with every fiber of our being. But now that Bronner’s there, I think about it all the time. I wonder what he’s doing, whom he’s talking to, what it must feel like to look upon the face of God. I wonder about the angels and all the other people who are there, people such as Abraham Lincoln, Queen Esther, Noah and George Washington. There are cool people to meet in Heaven. It makes me so excited to go there, especially knowing Bronner’s there. At first I wanted to go to Heaven simply because I wanted Bronner, but over time I realized the best part about being in Heaven is God. Jesus is our treasure awaiting us in Heaven. He’s our inheritance, our prize, our very life. Everything else is extra, and there are going to be a million extra things to celebrate when we finally get to Heaven.

Q: What do you want people to remember most about Bronner and his story?

I want you to remember that God loves you even when it doesn’t seem like He does. Reach out for Him. If you take just one step toward the Father, He’ll run to you with outstretched arms celebrating you with great joy. God is real, and the door is wide open to Him. Sin must be dealt with, but God did that by sending His son, Jesus, to pay the price for our sin on the cross. All we have to do is believe it. Our faith in Jesus Christ saves us, not from pain and suffering, but from an eternity separated from God. God is everything that is good in life. He is light, life, joy, peace and love. In Him, there is no darkness at all. I can’t stand to think of anyone separated from that wellspring of life for all eternity. Take His hand right now and walk through the gate. Jesus is the gate to the Father. I’m asking you to believe in Him. That is Bronner’s legacy: faith that has been tested and has proven itself genuine. In the sight of God, that is very, very precious.

Paul Tells Us A MYSTERY

1 Corinthians 15:50-53 (NKJV)

Now this I (Paul) say, Brethren (Believers), that flesh and blood can NOT Inherit The Kingdom of God (God Almighty); nor does corruption Inherit Incorruption. Behold, I (Paul) tell YOU (Believers) a MYSTERY: We (Believers) shall NOT All Sleep, but We (Believers) shall All be CHANGED, in a Moment, in The Twinkling of an Eye, at The Last Trumpet. For The Trumpet will Sound, and The Dead will be Raised Incorruptible, and We (Believers) shall be CHANGED. For this corruptible MUST Put On Incorruption, and this mortal MUST Put On Immortality.

Philippians 3:17-21 (NKJV)

Brethren (Believers), join in following my (Paul’s) example, and note those (Believers) who so walk, as YOU (Believers) have Us (Jesus’ Disciples) for a Pattern. For many (Unbelievers) walk, of whom I (Paul) have told YOU (Believers) often, and now tell YOU (Believers) even weeping, that they (Unbelievers) are the enemies of The Cross of Christ (Jesus Christ): whose end is destruction, whose god is their (Unbelievers) belly, and whose glory is in their (Unbelievers) shame, who set their (Unbelievers) mind on Earthly things. For Our (Believers) Citizenship is in Heaven, from which We (Believers) also eagerly wait for The Savior, The Lord Jesus Christ, who will Transform Our (Believers) Lowly Body, that it may be CONFORMED to His (Jesus Christ’s) Glorious Body, According to The Working by which He (Jesus Christ) is Able, even to Subdue All Things to Himself (Jesus Christ). How to Stop Overthinking and Live in the Moment

Does your thinking tend to drift into an eternal cycle of the why’s, the how’s, and the what if’s? Welcome to the club my friend. I am by nature an over-thinker. I have a PhD in overthinking. I’ve mastered it just about all my life. I’ve been guilty of overthinking about my overthinking. After a while it sounds like the mind of a crazy person and that’s how you feel just about half of the time. Nothing just is what it is- there are deeper levels to everything and you have got to figure out how far that iceberg goes beneath the surface.

It’s a blessing and a curse right? You can help others think through their problems, give insight at angles that aren’t the norm, it makes for a great writer and for a Psychology major like myself it works out perfectly as I enter the why’s and how’s of human behavior (because I’m questioning my own about ninety percent of the time). The curse? Living in the moment is the struggle, your mind runs late at night and sometimes it’s nothing but anxiety in disguise.

What are some of the tell-tale signs of overthinking? Well I’ve thought about it (pun-intended):

  • Second guessing yourself (or triple or quadruple guessing)
  • Lack of sleep at night from racing thoughts or insomnia
  • Struggling to live in the moment from analyzing everything, especially things unrelated to the present moment
  • Overly analytical
  • Having a hard time letting things go
  • Perfectionism
  • Self criticism
  • Thinking the worst and catastrophizing things before they even exist
  • Feeling like you can’t turn your brain off
  • Never feeling 100% sure
  • Anxiety and other correlating symptoms from that such as loss of appetite, depression, nausea, headaches etc

The list goes on, and on, and on. FULL POST

An Open Invitation, From Jesus Christ

Matthew 11:25-30

At that time Jesus (Jesus Christ) answered and said, “I (Jesus Christ) thank YOU, Father (God Almighty), Lord of Heaven and Earth, that YOU (God Almighty) have Hidden These Things (The Truth) from the wise and prudent, and have Revealed them (These Things, The Truth) to Babes (Believers). Even so, Father (God Almighty), for so it Seemed Good in Your (God Almighty’s) Sight. All Things have been Delivered to Me (Jesus Christ), by My (Jesus Christ’s) Father (God Almighty), and NO ONE knows The Son (Jesus Christ), except The Father (God Almighty). Nor does ANYONE know The Father (God Almighty), except The Son (Jesus Christ), and the One (Believers) to whom The Son (Jesus Christ) Wills to Reveal Him (God Almighty).

Come to Me (Jesus Christ), ALL YOU (Believers) who labor and are heavy laden, and I (Jesus Christ) will give YOU (Believers) Rest. Take My (Jesus Christ’s) Yoke upon YOU (Believers) and LEARN from Me (Jesus Christ), for I (Jesus Christ) am Gentle and Lowly in Heart, and YOU (Believers) will find Rest, for Your (Believers) Souls. For My (Jesus Christ’s) Yoke is Easy and My (Jesus Christ’s) Burden is Light.” FULL POST

Caught Up Together, Gathering Together To Him

Matthew 24:36-44

“But of That Day and Hour NO ONE knows, NOT even The Angels of Heaven, but My Father (God Almighty) ONLY. But as The Days of Noah were, so also will The Coming of The Son of Man (Jesus Christ) be. For as in The Days before The Flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until The Day that Noah entered The Ark, and did NOT know until The Flood came and took them all away, so also will The Coming of The Son of Man (Jesus Christ) be. Then two men will be in the field: One (Believers) will be Taken and the other (Unbelievers) left. Two women will be grinding at the mill: One (Believers) will be Taken and the other (Unbelievers) left. Watch therefore, for YOU do NOT know what Hour Your Lord (Jesus Christ) is Coming. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and NOT allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore YOU also be ready, for The Son of Man (Jesus Christ) is Coming at an hour YOU (Believers) do NOT expect.”

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

But I (Paul) do NOT want YOU (Believers) to be ignorant, Brethren (Believers), concerning those (Believers) who have Fallen Asleep (The Dead in Christ), lest YOU (Believers) sorrow as others who have NO Hope. NOT Willing That ANY Should Perish

God’s Promise Is NOT Slack (2 Peter 3:1-9)

Beloved, I (Peter) now write to YOU (Believers) this Second Epistle (in both of which, I stir up Your Pure Minds, by way of Reminder), that YOU (Believers) may be Mindful of The Words (The Holy Bible), which were Spoken before, by The Holy Prophets, and of The Commandment of Us (Jesus’ Disciples), The Apostles of The Lord and Savior (Jesus Christ), knowing this First: that scoffers (Unbelievers) will come, in The Last Days, walking according to their (Unbelievers) own lusts, and saying, “Where is The Promise of His (Jesus Christ’s) Coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, All Things continue as they were, from The Beginning of Creation.” For this they (Unbelievers) willfully FORGET: that by The Word of God (God Almighty), the Heavens were of Old, and the Earth standing out of water and in the water, by which the World, that then existed, PERISHED, being flooded with water. But the Heavens and the Earth, which are now Preserved, by The Same Word (The Word of God Almighty), are Reserved for FIRE, until The Day of Judgment and Perdition of Ungodly Men (Unbelievers). But, Beloved (Believers), do NOT forget this One Thing, that with The Lord (God Almighty), One Day is as a Thousand Years, and a Thousand Years, as One Day. The Lord (God Almighty) is NOT slack, concerning His (God Almighty’s) Promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward Us (ALL Mankind), NOT willing that ANY should Perish, but that ALL should come to Repentance. What Are We Waiting For

The Compassion Of Jesus (Matthew 9:35-38)

Then Jesus (Jesus Christ) went about All the Cities and Villages, Teaching in their Synagogues, Preaching The Gospel of The Kingdom, and Healing EVERY sickness and EVERY disease, among the people. But when He (Jesus Christ) saw the multitudes, He (Jesus Christ) was moved with Compassion for them (the people), because they (the people) were weary and scattered, like sheep having NO shepherd. Then He (Jesus Christ) said to His Disciples, “The Harvest Truly is Plentiful, but the Laborers are few. Therefore, pray The Lord of The Harvest (God Almighty) to Send Out Laborers (Believers) into His (God Almighty’s) Harvest.”

Fellow Believers, do YOU think the people who came to Jesus (Jesus Christ), were ONLY coming to be cured of human afflictions OR did they (the people) come to Him (Jesus Christ) for Salvation (Everlasting Life)? Perhaps, Jesus (Jesus Christ) was simply using curing their (the people) human afflictions, as a way to get them (the people) to listen to Him (Jesus Christ) Preach The Gospel of The Kingdom of God Almighty. So, what were some of those human afflictions: Healing EVERY sickness and EVERY disease, Raising the dead, and Casting out demons. Also He (Jesus Christ) fed the hungry (with some fish and bread).
