As the founders of Unite the USA, Stacie and Carrie Stoelting are boldly working to inspire the American people to be active, informed citizens. As life-long Iowans, they are busy promoting faith

Today, hundreds of thousands braved piercingly frigid temperatures in order to stand up and march for life. First aid "warming tents" were available for those feeling overcome by the cold. Yet the people marched on.
Various leaders spoke up for the babies who cannot. U.S. Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler (R-MO), with whom we have met and visited, eloquently and passionately shared. According to Life Site News, here is an account of what she said: "We are here today to remember the millions of lives devastated with abortion and to pledge ourselves anew to upholding the most fundamental right, 'the right to life.'" Noting there are 1.2 million abortion per year in the U.S., she said, "There are more babies who perish each year through abortion than people who live in an entire congressional district." An adoptive mother, Hartzler said, "Every life is valuable and has a God-ordained purpose. All babies are wanted."
Indeed, all babies are wanted. Yet abortion clinics play mind games with the women in need of assistance. About half of American women will have an unintended pregnancy, and nearly 1/3 will have an abortion by the time they reach the age of 45 years. And the post-abortive syndrome affects them all. Suicide rates skyrocket for post-abortive women, and the rates for overall depression, fertility issues, anxiety, etc. also soar. FULL POST

The controversy over Duck Dynasty sends a clear signal to anyone who has anything to risk in public life: Say nothing about the sinfulness of homosexual acts or risk sure and certain destruction by the revolutionaries of the new morality. You have been warned."
-Dr. Albert Mohler, President of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary
An outcry resounds throughout our country because A&E suspended Phil Robertson from Duck Dynasty. Phil did not attack anyone; he stated his beliefs. This is a case of religious discrimination...and it's one of many. We can't sit back anymore and ignore the many attacks against Christians' religious freedom in our country. We can't be "sitting ducks" about this. Here are ways you can help help support the family, now under attack for standing up for God's Word.
5 Ways to Support the Biblical Stand of Phil Robertson and the "Duck Dynasty" Family
1. Pray for Phil and the Robertson family. Join our FaceBook group at https://www.facebook.com/PrayforPhil
2. Contact A&E and share that you support Phil. Call the network at 212-210-1400 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
3. Send notes of encouragement to the Robertson family at email@example.com. They need to know that we support them. FULL POST

The First Amendment
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
As demonstrated during the recent government "shutdown", the current administration pays no regard to the U.S. Constitution -especially the First Amendment. Methods used during the "shutdown" abused power. From closing National Parks to threatening priests on military bases, the "shutdown" used scare tactics in attempt to intimidate the American people.
We must remember that the Founding Father established three branches of government. They are the legislative, executive, and judicial. In other words, it consists of Congress, the President, and the Supreme Court. The branches of government are to ensure check and balances so that no branch is too powerful. It is most disconcerting that President Obama and his administration certainly seem to disregard that. Their actions convey a "what they say goes" attitude. FULL POST

The "Affordable Health Care Act" could not be more poorly named. In fact, the original name of it almost elicits a laugh of sarcasm. Affordable? No way! It should be renamed the "Deplorable Health Care Attack" instead. The restructuring of healthcare continues to be a catastrophic train wreck for our society.
When Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) spoke for more than twenty-one hours in an attempt to draw attention to the impending failure of "Obamacare", the secular media scoffed. But now they, too, have begun to distance themselves from this epic healthcare failure.
Recently, Dr. Ben Carson shared insight about the meaning of Obamacare for America. He said, "'Obamacare' is really, I think, the worst thing that has happened in this nation since slavery. In a way, it is slavery...because it is making all of us subservient to the government... It was never about health care - it was all about control. Only when someone falls deathly sick, and has to struggle to survive do they understand the critical importance of health. It is the most valuable thing that you have - everything else pales in insignificance compared to your health...and that's the reason that your health should be controlled by you and not by the government." To begin this edition, please join us in prayer for our country: "Lord God, we recognize that we need You yet our leaders and citizens often ignore You. We confess that we have sinned against You. Please forgive us. We have snubbed You in our public events, public schools, abortion laws, judicial decisions, etc. We've welcomed sin instead of Your Son. We ask that we would be spared. Help us to fully rely on Jesus Christ and what He did on the cross for us. Help us to love our neighbor as ourselves. Help us to love You most of all. We ask for Your mercy and grace to shower on our country and for You to draw many people into personal relationships with You. Please heal our land that we may be able to give You credit and experience Your protection as we bless Your Name instead of cursing with it. We yield to You and humble ourselves at Your feet. God, please have mercy upon us. In Jesus' Name, Amen." FULL POST

"As we peer into society's future, we -- you and I, and our government -- must avoid the impulse to live only for today, plundering for our own ease and convenience the precious resources of tomorrow. We cannot mortgage the material assets of our grandchildren without risking the loss also of their political and spiritual heritage. We want democracy to survive for all generations to come, not to become the insolvent phantom of tomorrow." -Dwight D. Eisenhower
President Eisenhower had it right. It's a shame America didn't heed his words of wisdom.
Today the United States faces a massive national debt of $17 trillion dollars. On top of that, the national unemployment rate remains high. In addition, America has over $123 trillion in unfunded liabilities. The debt is astronomical and unprecedented yet President Obama denies that we have a debt crisis. Earlier this year, President Obama said to George Stephanopoulos in an interview, "We don't have an immediate crisis in terms of debt. In fact, for the next 10 years, it's gonna be in a sustainable place." FULL POST

As people celebrate the royal baby's birth, we encourage everyone to celebrate the birth of every baby....including babies with special needs. Every baby is a gift from God; life is a gift.People with perceived disabilities enable us to see glimmers of God's love. People with special needs like Down syndrome are gifted with unique abilities to display uninhibited love, joy, and faith in Jesus. They see the beauty in life and in others and they give love unconditionally.
With all that said, it is a horrifying fact that the abortion rate of Down syndrome babies is over 90%. Yes, you read that correctly. The fact that over 90% of expectant mothers who are told that their unborn child carries the high risk of Down syndrome choose to abort the baby should make us all shudder. The devaluation of human life and human dignity is astounding. Abortion is literally genocide of the unborn and it must stop!
We're thankful for the many pro-life organizations who are speaking up for unborn with special needs and who are fighting hard to end abortion. Public figures like Sarah Palin and Rick Santorum (who have special needs children of their own) are also fighting hard for life. FULL POST

Today it is "controversial" to say that marriage is between one man and one woman --but it's true. The Lord knows what He's doing when He creates each person. That's why it's so disturbing to see how people try to take His place and change His design. The Lord loves everyone, but He does not approve of homosexual practices. Such behavior is perverse and unnatural. He has the best in mind for each person He creates which is why the Bible clearly warns against homosexuality. From Genesis on, the Bible praises the marriage of a man and a woman, but it always speaks very critically of homosexual behavior whenever it is mentioned (i.e. 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, Jude 7, Romans 1:18-32, Leviticus 18:22).
Marriage is a holy and sacred institution created not by man, but by God. Marriage is between one man and one woman. God designed it that way; that is what it will always be. Marriage cannot be anything else but between one man and one woman.
Next week we will learn the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling about whether same-sex "marriage" will be legalized nationwide. Earlier this week, the Pew Research Center released a report showing that media coverage was biased by a factor of 5 to 1 in favor of same-sex marriage so be alert. This is an attack on Judeo-Christian values and it's persecution against marriage. FULL POST

The month of May shed light on multiple serious cases that target religious freedom. For example, the government has used intimidation tactics to unjustly target Christian and conservative groups because they represent beliefs contrary to the Obama administration. James Dobson, Billy Graham, Franklin Graham, and various other Christian leaders have been heavily targeted by the IRS. Many join Congressman Kevin Brady (R) in asking, "Is this still America?"
But that's not all... Religious freedom for Judeo-Christian members of the military is being threatened, too. The Pentagon released a statement confirming that soldiers could be prosecuted for promoting their faith: "Religious proselytization is not permitted within the Department of Defense...Court martials and non-judicial punishments are decided on a case-by-case basis...". Yes, you read that correctly: The Pentagon is considering prosecuting servicemen and women for sharing their Christian faith. That's stripping away freedom from the very heroes who are fighting to keep and protect it! Read more about it here. Take action now and sign this petition called "Protect religious freedom for our troops - not attack it." FULL POST

Marriage is between one man and one woman. God designed it that way; that is what it will always be. It cannot be redefined. Marriage cannot be anything else but between one man and one woman.
This summer, we will learn the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling about whether same-sex "marriage" will be legalized nationwide. On March 26 and 27, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments concerning the constitutionality of Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) and California's Proposition 8. DOMA was passed during the Clinton administration to protect marriage as being between a man and a woman. In 2008, Prop. 8 was voted on and approved by the people of California; it states that marriage is between a man and a woman as well. We pray that marriage will be defended and that the U.S. Supreme Court will not legislate from the bench by ruling in favor of same-sex "marriage" by throwing out DOMA and Prop. 8.
Today it is "controversial" to say that marriage is between one man and one woman --but it's true. God chooses our sex/gender...not humans. He knows what He's doing when He creates each person. That's why it's so disturbing to see how people try to take His place by turning marriage into something He never made it to be...
