There's No Place for Obamacare in America‏

The "Affordable Health Care Act" could not be more poorly named. In fact, the original name of it almost elicits a laugh of sarcasm. Affordable? No way! It should be renamed the "Deplorable Health Care Attack" instead. The restructuring of healthcare continues to be a catastrophic train wreck for our society.

When Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) spoke for more than twenty-one hours in an attempt to draw attention to the impending failure of "Obamacare", the secular media scoffed. But now they, too, have begun to distance themselves from this epic healthcare failure.

Recently, Dr. Ben Carson shared insight about the meaning of Obamacare for America. He said, "'Obamacare' is really, I think, the worst thing that has happened in this nation since slavery. In a way, it is slavery...because it is making all of us subservient to the government... It was never about health care - it was all about control. Only when someone falls deathly sick, and has to struggle to survive do they understand the critical importance of health. It is the most valuable thing that you have - everything else pales in insignificance compared to your health...and that's the reason that your health should be controlled by you and not by the government."

At a rally in 2009, Barack Obama famously said, "Let me be exactly clear about what health care reform means to you. First of all, if you've got health insurance, you like your doctors, you like your plan, you can keep your doctor, you can keep your plan. Nobody is talking about taking that away from you."

Nothing could be further from the truth: The U.S. individual health insurance market currently totals about 19 million people. Due to the fact that the Obama administration's regulations on grandfathering existing plans are so stringent, about 16 million people are losing their current insurance!

These 16 million people are currently receiving letters from their insurance carriers informing them that they are losing their current coverage. They must re-enroll in order to avoid a break in coverage and comply with the new health law's benefit mandates. Most of the 16 million will have big rate increases.

President Obama and top Democrats promised that costs would go down for everyone with Obamacare. In reality, the Affordable Care Act (aka Obamacare) has been like a national train wreck! Obamacare will exorbitantly increase our debt. Even the Obamacare web site is way over budget at $93 million - and the web site doesn't even work!

Read more about Obamacare's corruption in this month's feature article by Dr. Jerry Newcombe.

Obamacare is a great threat to freedom; it has no place in our country. In the days ahead, we must hold tight to our faith in Jesus Christ and hold tight to our convictions about freedom which our Founding Fathers held dear. We must stay strong and persevere; never give up! The only way to do this is to look up to the Lord and speak up before it's too late.
