Marvin Olasky, editor of World Magazine interviews English professor Rosaria Butterfield at Patrick Henry College. Butterfield is author of the book The Secret Thoughts of an Unlikely Convert: An English Professor’s Journey into Christian Faith.
Butterfield came out as a lesbian when she was a 28 years old graduate school student. Years later in response to an article she wrote about Promise Keepers, a friendship developed with a local pastor and she encounters the Gospel in this friendship and through reading the Bible. As a researcher Butterfield was working on a book about the religious right and needed to understand the Bible.
