Unreached and Unengaged - IMB video

In the video a pastor says, "Yesterday we had the priviledge of sharing the Gospel. Kind of went around the room and everyone asked their neighbor, 'Do you know who Jesus is?"

No one one knew about Jesus. Then the pastor asks, "Why?"

The answer is simple: No one had told them about Jesus. You can play a role in reaching people around the world that have never heard the Gospel.

Aging Gracefully (VIDEO)

This video from Real Ministries features a sound clip of pastor Francis Chan talking about how Christians often lose perspective as we age.

Francis Chan - Aging Biblically - Sermon Jam

Chan says, "Respectfully, I don't meet a lot of elderly that are really living like they're about to see Jesus and say goodbye to the things of this world and letting go of that stuff."

Chan also says, "The church is in dire need of elderly people that are living radically for their faith."

There are numerous ways that retirees can serve the body of Christ. For example, the movie The Secrets of Jonathan Sperry shows a retiree mentoring young children and encouraging them to read the Bible.

Proverbs 22:7 NIV says, "The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender."

Financial commentator Peter Schiff has recommended slashing government spending on higher education. He is not alone in saying that there is too much money being spent on higher education in America.

Billionaire tech investor Peter Thiel has challenged college students to drop out of school and start a business instead.

The video below is from Encounter Books and explains how higher education has became a financial bubble. FULL POST

The Jesus Strategy

Before Jesus returned to heaven, He gave the Great Commission to go make disciples of all nations. Numerous conferences, seminary and Bible school classes, sermons and books address the subject of how to make disciples but how did Jesus make disciples?

Kevin Peck - Spend Time With The Few To Reach The Many

Pastor Kevin Peck says, "Jesus' method was this: He spent time with the few to reach the many." Discipleship works best in small groups and one-on-one interactions.

Have you attempted to disciple someone recently?

This video comes from the Verge Network which is a network of Christians joining together around the concept of Christian community as a means of making disciples.
