How Men and Women Evaluate Losses Differently in Business

When talking about male and female differences, it is worth reminding us that it all is rooted back to nature, by justifying this fact with an initial creation of two different forms of human beings- man and a woman. As it is in other spheres of life the same goes for business as well: Men and women evaluate their strength, achievements, and losses differently in business.

Why? Because men and women have different psychology, a different way of thinking and as we are used to say “We come from two different planets”. The battle or comparison of genders has started many years ago and continues till now.

When it comes to managing businesses, men are generally more spontaneous when making decisions, while women tend to be more attentive and careful before opting for something in a business world.

In this article, we will try to shed a light on the ways and differences on how men and women act in stressful situations when it comes to losses in business and how they evaluate their losses differently in business.

Why Do Women Love Snapchat So Much?

A report released by Snapchat stated that 70% of Snapchat users identify as women. Their primary demographic is also those within 18-34 years old. To many businesses, this is a key demographic; women are generally agreed to be more brand loyal, and Millennials in general have significant buying power. Understanding why women use Snapchat is a key piece of connecting with customers over this social media platform.

More Fun Way Of Texting
Many women discuss liking Snapchat as a more visual and fun way to send text messages. When Instagram first started, it was mostly full of users taking random pictures of their meals or their day, and sharing them amongst friends.

Now, Snapchat seems to have replaced that function. Group texts are still a great way to share wordier messages, but a quick snap shares a cute moment from your day or shows you enjoying the fun of wearing a pair of animal ears and cute eyes.

Sharing Random Thoughts
Texting has become more formal and less fun as more and more people use it as a communication method. Texting all your friends is less fun when you’re also texting your boss. Using fun, goofy images to help you share fun moments throughout your day is a more entertaining way to share information with close friends. FULL POST

How Working Environments Affect Women

Many different studies have shown employers that environmental factors in the workplace have a noticeable effect on workers. Since many companies are focusing on retaining more female employees and improving their overall diversity, understanding how work environments have a particular effect on women can be key to making positive changes. Here are some of the problems that employees face in the workplace environment, and what a company can do about them.

Air Quality
Poor air quality is a tremendous drag on the wellbeing of employees. Without clean air quality, employees may struggle with dehydration and poor energy levels, as well as respiratory health issues. How companies manage their air quality will be affected by whether the building is primarily closed, with interior ventilation and air conditioning, or open, with windows and doors that allow natural air to move through.

If the building is closed, it is crucial that vents be cleaned regularly, and that the air circulation system be maintained. Remember that men and women experience temperature differently, and that it is important for all workers to be comfortable for maximum productivity. FULL POST

American Business Women Are On The Move

With American women now owning more than 9 million businesses in the United States, according to last year’s data from SCORE, it is quite clear that the number of women stepping into the world of entrepreneurship is on the rise.

There are many reasons for this: a tumultuous economy combined with many societal pressures to take care of both children and older family members have created a “sandwich generation” that can more easily meet all of their obligations when their work schedules are a little more flexible.

Many women are starting their own business wherever they happen to live; with high speed internet and a decent laptop, it is entirely possible to step into many different branches of entrepreneurship without much of an investment. Other women are pursuing more traditional entrepreneurial paths and relocating to cities that have a reputation for being good for startups.

Women still face many barriers to successful business ownership. Factors such as lenders with experience funding small businesses and mentors can do a great deal to mitigate those barriers. SO what are some of the areas in the United States that are doing a great job making business opportunities available to women? FULL POST

Making The Holiday Season Brighter For Women

If you’re looking to brighten up the holiday season for a woman in your life, you may be ready to get creative. Here are a few ideas that might be exactly what she needs to relax and enjoy the holiday season.

Pack Smart When Traveling
Take packing stress off her list by remembering little details, like mailing presents to their destination ahead of time, or packing gift cards in your suitcase. For super easy relaxation at your destination, make sure that everyone’s pajamas and toiletries are packed all together, so that you don’t have to rifle through every suitcase to get into bed.

Listen To What She Wants
If you’ve asked a woman what she wants to get for a holiday gift, she might say nothing. Some people insist they don’t want anything so that they can feel okay getting gifts, but many people truly mean that they don’t want anything. Maybe their house is too full already, or they feel that they have enough while others do not. In this case, consider donating to a charity that the woman in question would support herself.

There are many amazing charities around the world that support women and girls. Do a little research, find one that works within her stated goals, and then give her the gift receipt as her present. FULL POST

5 Ways Women Can Manage The Stress Of Running A Business

As a woman entrepreneur, the fact is that you are likely to be forging a new path, wherever you go. While women have always worked and owned businesses to some degree or another, the number of women owning businesses has greatly expanded in recent years. This is good news for the economy, and for women at large, but it can also be stressful.

Women tend to have a harder time than their male counterparts getting adequate funding for their businesses, and they may struggle to find mentors who understand the specific challenges that face women business owners. This is especially true from women who have multiple marginalizations – women who are also people of color, LGBT, or disabled, for example.

These five tips can help women business owners manage and cope with the stress that comes from being your own boss.

Find someone to talk to
Whether it’s your best friend or a therapist, if you have significant stress in your life, you need somewhere to talk about that stress which isn’t your primary relationship. While your partner can be an amazing support, it can be hard for them to be entirely focused on your struggles when the financial health of the business supports them as well. FULL POST

Blogging: A Way For Women To Earn A Living

Even as the American family comes to be a more diversified institution, many women still struggle to balance the demands of a career with the responsibilities of a family. In order to get the free time that they need, many women have decided to leave the traditional workforce and find new careers through freelancing, MLM companies, or other projects that leave their daytime hours free for family and their evenings available for work.

One of the most popular ways to earn a living by working irregular hours is through blogging. While the strategies to successfully earn a living with a blog have changed in the last few years, it is still a viable way to bring in income, especially as a second job, extra money, or passion project. Here are five ways to earn money by blogging.

Sponsored Posts
When you have an established blog, some companies are willing to pay you in order to have you post about their topic. They want to reach your audience because they know that word of mouth has always been and likely will always be the best way to influence customers.

Sponsored posts became slightly less popular after the FTC ruled that bloggers must disclose any post that contains sponsored content, but many companies are still willing to pay. It is still a great opportunity to create memorable stories for your audience. FULL POST

Career Advice You Won’t Get From Your Boss

If you listen to those who built their careers in the 70s, 80s, and even the 1990s, you hear a lot of advice about impressing your boss, sticking with a company for years, and following one path to the top. It was great advice for the time, but with the current, competitive job market, the ability to research competitors over the Internet, and the ways to get your name noticed without your boss’s say-so, the natural progression of your career has changed. When you think about where you want to be in five years, ten years, twenty years, focus as much on how you want to do things as why. Do you want to be a leader? Do you want to have a corner-suite? Do you want to be an influencer on social media? Would you rather run your own company or work for someone else? 5 Home Based Business Concepts For Women

Businesses owned by women are on the rise. There are two big reasons for this: first, the federal government has created many different initiatives to help women entrepreneurs overcome traditional obstacles to getting funding, accessing capital, and creating a sustainable business. Second, data is clearly showing that businesses owned by women tend to be more flexible, more responsive to changes in the economy, and more beneficial to the business world at large than the same companies owned by men.

If you're a woman who wants to make the transition into owning her own business, but aren't sure how to get started, these ideas can help you brainstorm.

Home and internet based "party" businesses
This is not your grandmother's Tupperware party. Businesses focused around direct to consumer marketing have exploded in the past few years as companies like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter have made it easier than ever to stay connected to your 10,000 best friends in the world.
